A Zen session takes place at least once a week at a Zendo. It usually lasts three to five days, but guests are welcome to join for any time of the year. Zen has become a mainstream religion. In fact, it has become the world’s most popular meditation style. The Buddha himself practiced it for many years. During his lifetime, he was able to attain enlightenment through zazen. The Buddha was not the only person who practiced bodhizazen. The Buddha was the first to practice it. However, the most important part of Zen is meditation.
